Hot Summer Days..

It's been awhile. I know. Sorry..? I don't know whether or not to apologize since I'm sure no one even reads this..Oh well! Well, my summer so far has been GREAT!

1. I went on a cruise (With my family) with Royal Caribbean shortly after school ended, which was a ton of fun! We were on the Liberty of the Seas. Fancy, I know. Cruises are an interesting experience. I think what I loved the most was when you were cruising in the middle of the ocean, and I was able to forget about everything at home and just relax.  Being secluded like that is just..nice. Obviously it felt good to go home, but after school was over, I was just ready to LEAVE. Anyways, so we stopped in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Labadee, Haiti.  Philipsburg was quite small, and we didn't get to do much shopping, but it was neat to be in a foreign country for the first time.  It was hot, and humid, but I liked it :). Our next stop, Puerto Rico, was where the majority of the shopping was.  There were shops everywhere! They even had a Marshall's, what a riot! Our last stop, in Haiti, was...interesting.. It was basically this spot on the Island that Royal Caribbean had bought out, so it was like you weren't in Haiti...but you were.. The only thing to do there was either lay out or get in the water.. Well, that's a lie.  They had a zip line, which I really wanted to do, but it was expensive!! We also wanted to try to do snorkeling, (We had tried in St. Maarten but the visibility was zero when we had to go so we just got a refund) but it was full :(. So, therefore, going to the beach it was.  The water was amazing! Warm, and clear, very refreshing.  The shopping in Puerto Rico and St. Maarten was 3 major things; Cheesy t-shirts, alcohol/drugs, and watches/diamonds.  And they were basically the same shops over and over again. But, I still loved going to the different countries.OH. and, in Puerto Rico, we went on a tour of the city, and our tour guide knew like, everything. It was awesome.  The capitol building was made completely of marble! It was beautiful...
On the ship, there was sooo much to do! There was a casino, obviously, some shops, places to eat, a movie theater, an ice skating rink, the wave rider thing, shows to go to, etc... Dinner was neat.  We sat with another family of five, like our own, who we got along with well and had fun talking with and sharing what we did each day.  Our waiter, Aliston, was cool and showed us magic tricks each night ;D.  The meals were good, you got an appetizer, main course, and dessert.  (Dinner was included when you booked to go on the cruise).  I'm sure everyone gained some weight after that for 7 days.. Ha! I loved the cruise, I would definitely recommend everyone to go on a cruise at least once in their life, or whenever they get the chance!

Our ship docked in Haiti.. It was huge!!

Inside of the ship..big!! Kinda like a small Shopping mall.
Haiti was pretty :D

2. I had summer school this summer....No, I didn't fail a class, (I had all A's and 1 B, thank you very much...stupid Language Arts...) At my school we are required 1 credit of gym or PE, and if you take a summer class that counts as 1/2 a credit. I took a Personal Fitness and Wellness, or PFW class last year, and this year I took Team Sports.  It was pretty fun, actually, we basically just played games all day, and you didn't have to be good at them. (All day = 8:30 to 11 am.) Anyways, I ended that class with a B (Missed 2 days, one because I was getting back from the cruise on the first day and 2 was I just didn't want to go.. haha :D) and a hurt knee :( I was running and got tagged, so I was stopping, put all my weight on one of my legs to stop it, and jammed my knee..? Imagine jamming a finger, but your knee. Not fun! It still hurts (Hurt it like 2 weeks or so ago..) and I'm probably gonna go get it checked out again... :(

3.  I went to go visit one of my friends in California last week! That was so much fun! She moved to California last year because her dad had gotten a job there. I was so sad when she moved.. But it was fun to stay for a week and see where she lived and meet her friends!  We got there on a Wednesday night and stayed till Friday a week later.  The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we were there, she was having a family reunion.  That was fun, since we hung out with people, and went to the beach and stuff.  On Monday, we went to see Inception, good movie, and made ya think.  Then, we went and ate dinner on the pier, that was fun and delicious! On Tuesday, we went to Knottsberry Farm, and me being the Roller Coaster fanatic that I am , loved it! Favorite ride was Xcelerator...I love launch-y rides :) After that, we were STARVING so we went to this place called Rip Tide, which was like... a Sho-gun, know that restaurant, (You sit at a table with the grill in the middle and they make a show out of cooking your food..) but, it had a sushi bar, so we sat there.  I'm not much of a sushi person, so I ordered from the other menu, and got the scallops plate.. It was DELICIOUS. And it had some of the best fried rice I have ever had! :) so good! On Wednesday, we went to  San Diego and shopped there, and that was cool :D and on Thursday, we just kinda chilled and played some Rock Band.. And we ate at In and Out Burger. YUM. I recommend that place. Cheap and yummy! I was sad to leave on Friday, but i needed to go home to take care of business...

And now, Things i'm worried about! yay!

1. I NEED to get my license...I'm scared though...At night I lay there and think about every single terrible situation that could possible happen to me while I'm driving. It's not fun...

2. School is starting soon :( Which means Field Hockey is starting, which means I need to get a new stick, and a physical, and I need to save money for school supplies.  I also worry about not knowing anyone in my classes, which is sad..I also need to apply for my parking pass..AGH.

3. I really need to practice my bass.. I'm terrible about practicing, so therefore I don't really get any better..but I feel I just don't have the patience to practice! I try and lose interest within the first 10 minutes. :(

Ok lets stop worrying...YAY.

Music I currently like:

I've been listening to some disco/oldies songs such as:

YMCA
Stayin Alive
Funkytown
Respect
Shake Your Groove Thing

And I'm still a Stellar Kart fan :D

Innocent
Livin On A Prayer
Life is Good

OOh and I've been listening to Dixie Chicks too ;D

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like...Spring

Woot! Spring is here, which means one of many things to me.
1. My Birthday! (Of course ;D)
2. Pretty Flowers :D
3. Thunderstorms.
4. Growing stuff!

Yes my birthday is next month...I need to get more driving practice in! My "BFF4L" Emma already has her's...JEALOUS!...This makes me think of one of my pet peeves..UNSAFE DRIVING. I recently drove with one of my newly liscensed friends (Not Emma). He passed his test with a 95% or so...Driving with him, my life flashed before my eyes... I mean, going "OHH A HILL!" and then ACCELERATING is not safe, and is one way to scare the crud out of your friends! (Especially with a stop sign at the bottom of the hill...) He also found great interest in speeding, and blasting his music.  My ears are still ringing..I guess this experience lets me know who I WON'T be driving with anytime soon..

Anyways, today after school I learned the ropes of stage crew in theater...Literally! I learned the FLY (i think is what they call it..) or for all of those tech-dumb people, i learned how to move the curtains and backdrops up and down! Seems easy, but it's really dangerous! Since curtains and stuff are really heavy, you have to have weights on the ropes to balance them out. Now imagine if it were unbalanced, and either the weights or a pole/curtain came crashing down.  That would be very...unsafe.. Anyways, i'll spare you the gory details that I was lectured with for over an hour... (It's very complex!)

2 days....Make that 1 1/2

Yes that's right, only 2 (1 1/2) days until spring break! I'm excited : )..
Mainly for the No school part, considering I'm not going anywhere...

(Ahh I want to go there XP)

(Really bad..)

Anyways! Soo many things on my mind lately!

1. Theater. I am on set crew/tech crew for my school's musical, Once Upon a Mattress, and we get to BUILD stuff! I got to use an electric drill yesterday, I felt really special ;D We also built some flats, which is tech-anese for "rectangles". It was also pretty awkward...it was just me, and three guys.  The tech-director guy, Mr. Kozak, his friend, (I forget his name...) and this guy that's in my grade...And I was like "OK this is fun..." kind of..

2. My birthday. Is next month. I am going to be 16. Yay? Kind of. It scares me. Being 16 means you can drive, work, and become like waay more independent..I have NO idea where to work, and driving scares me XP. I'm actually thinking of working at J.C. Penney..or Target. I do NOT want to work in food industries though..EW! haha.

3. My oldest sister, (Marie), goes to Southwest Baptist University, and is majoring in Music Education.  She plays in the orchestra and sings in the choir (very musically talented ; ) ) ANYWAYS, her choir is going to Austria in the next week or so..NOT FAIR! lol. Actually I'm not too jealous. Well I am, but like a "happy for you jealous". Anyways, have fun in Austria Marie! : )

4. So I'm going to this wedding on Saturday... I have no idea who is getting married..My boyfriend, Evan, is a bridesmaid (Yes, Bridesmaid) and he was like "oh do you want to come?" and I was like "suuure..." so yeah, now I'm going to this wedding. And I won't get to sit with him at the church, or at the reception when we eat..Fun stuff! Ha..Whatever! My "BFF4L" Emma is going to be there. She, is dating Evan (my boyfriend)'s brother. How weird right? I think it's awesome :D

5. Ok here's my favorite artist(s) as of right now:

Stellar Kart
My fav song: We shine

And...
Francesca Battistelli
Fav song: Either "Blue Sky" or "Free to be me"

Check them out!

6. (It's my last one, promise!) OK so being nerdy awesome girl  that I am, I still play my game boy... I call it "embracing my inner child".  I think it is perfectly acceptable for a 15 year old to be playing her game boy. As long as it is not a 24/7 obsession. Anyways, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are coming out Sunday, March 14th! I'm excited :D Yes I do play pokemon. Got a problem with it? TOO BAD! haha.

Anyways, to all you who do or don't read this completely awesome blog, have a GREAT week to all of you, and Hey! Loosen up and have fun, embrace your inner child like me ; D

P.s. I think I'm gettin good at this blogging thing ;D
P.s.s Don't forget to watch American Idol this week!

Texas: Best Place in the World!

I love Texas. I think that's all i can say. I got to go to Texas this weekend, since my sister had a college inteview and cello audition at Abilene Christian.  I think it's so different from St. Louis, that I just adore it!  Staying with Grandma, eating all the ice cream and bad food I want, the warm weather, (it was at least 67 yesterday!) and just taking a break from reality for awhile..(except for when I have to make up assignments i'm missing in school.....not fun!) I think I like missing 2 days of school the best though! haha. Ooh i also like the outdoor mall ;D that place is awesome...Only bad thing, I come home about 10 lbs heavier. No joke! Grandma has some goooood ice cream (Bluebell Ice cream, by the way, it's the best!) It's terrible, I know..I guess the elliptical will become my new best friend when I get home haha..
Also what's been on my mind, American Idol! I LOVE that show! Who do you like? (If anyone reads this...don't think so but that's ok)
I'm kinda likin...Big Mike and Andrew Garcia :D
Girls, I like Hayley. She's so cute and bubbly : )

Also, I have yet to figure out how to post pictures...so for now, uh my posts will be pictureless!

It took me a couple of seconds to realize that my title is a song from HSM. Ew. Anyways, hmm perhaps I can get used to this. Well hello to all you bloggers out there! I doubt you're even reading this, but that's ok! Lets see if I can stick to this...Doesn't happen too often for me! Well au revior for now! (P.s. that's french for goodbye :) )
